Board Equanimity and gain the cockpit from the swim platform, up steps on either side, then through stainless steel framed sliding glass doors to the salon.

Through the salon to the galley, on the same level, then up three steps to the pilothouse and lower controls.

Then down to the accommodations area with laundry, three private cabins, and two proivate heads, each with generous shower stalls.

Also from the pilothouse, up stairs to the flybridge lounge area and upper station controls. Here too is the boat deck, aft of the seating areas.

Accommodations

Equanimity is a classic pilothouse design where the staterooms are accessed via a companionway forward and down from the pilothouse. At the bottom of the companionway is a foyer with doors leading into three staterooms, a fourth door opening to the guest head and shower, and a fifth door opening to a stacked washer and dryer.

The stairs from the pilothouse to the accommodations foyer are broad and gently sloped (read safe). Courtesy lights under each tread add ambiance and safety. A locker within the foyer houses the laundry; a separate stacked Asko washer and dryer. Starting forward:

VIP Guest Cabin

The VIP guest cabin forward with island queen berth, storage in numerous shelves, drawers and lockers, including two tall hanging lockers. Also featured is direct access to the guest head.

  • flatscreen TV

Guest Head

To starboard in the foyer, opposite the port cabin, is the guest head with two access doors; one direct from the forward VIP cabin, and the other from the foyer for the port cabin and for day guests, who can then access the head without going through someone's sleeping a cabin.

  • dedicated shower stall
  • exhaust fan

Primary (Owners' Cabin)

Aft of the foyer is the primary / owners' stateroom, situated midships, utilizing the full beam of the yacht.

Here is a queen size bed, with full walk around. Lots of storage space in so many drawers, cabinets and lockers. Accent and overheard lighting.

The bed runs athwartship, headboard to port, with an open dressing area on the starboard side.

Expansive windows with outstanding views of the seascape.

A straight love seat is to port with a side table, with a curved love seat to starboard. Storage under both. There is a hi-lo table and a swivelling barrel chair.

Entertainment centre with Sony Dream System DVD player, 40" flatscreen TV, and a superb sound system featuring Rockford Fosgate and Sonichub2 equipment.

The salon flows forward to the galley to port, with its dinette settee to starboard.

Galley

At the base of the pilothouse stairs on the starboard side is a dinette that seats six comfortably. On the port side is the galley that features a propane stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave oven and full sized refrigerator with freezer. The counter top provides a large working space plus two deep stainless steel sinks and garburator.

Pilothouse

The pilothouse is arguably the heart of the yacht with large windows on three sides, adjustable captains chair, and all engine instruments and controls close at hand. The pilothouse is the primary helm, and it is immediately apparent in the attention to detail, layout of controls, and navigation electronics; all smartly updated by Philbrook's Boat Yard in 2019.

The captains chair swivels to face the settee and table to join guests while not underway. The settee seats 4-5 comfortably.

The starboard side door from the pilothouse to the side decks and foredeck give quick and easy access and visibility for operator and crew.

Built in shelves and lockers along the aft bulkhead, as well as shelves close to the helm for binoculars and other needed gear.

Electrical Systems

The electrical systems have been upgraded, and are robust, reliable and intuitively simple, making life at anchor or at dock as worry free as can be.  AC and DC power services the vessel through circuit breaker panels with appropriate voltage and Ampere guages. At dock, 110VAC is provided by a 50 Amp shore connection. Away from a dock, 110 VAC is provided by the 17kw genset, or through the inverter.

At sea, batteries are chaerged by the engine or generator driven alternators, and while at a dock, by the chargers via shorepower.

Batteries, solar, and charging systems were updated and installed in 2024 by Philbrook's Boat Yard.
