The later GB 36 Classics were "wide body" tri-cabins with the guest cabin forward and the owners' cabin aft. The added beam allows for the highly desirable walk-around queen berth in the aft master cabin. This also allowed for two salon doors, both port and starboard, to the side decks.

The focal point in the yacht is the salon with the beautiful and distinctive teak GB salon table, surrounded by an L-shaped settee.
Unique to the later vintage of GB 36 is the addition of a salon door to the side deck on port as well as the starboard door, located at the lower helm.
The lower helm is integral to the salon and galley with all controls and instruments close at hand, detailed in those sections following.
