Layout

The 42 Grand Banks Classic Trawler has a classic design with a Tri-Cabin layout. It features an aft master cabin, forward guest accommodations, and a spacious salon and galley in between.

You can board through two side gates or from the swim grid using a transom gate. The teak side decks are wide and safe with bronze stanchions and teak rails at a comfortable height, and there are handholds for added safety.

Inside the boat, there are doors on both sides leading to the main salon, which is the heart of the ship. The lower helm is on the right, and the galley is on the left. A built-in dinette table and seating are towards the back on the right, and you'll find extra counter space and storage on the left.

The guest stateroom is in the front and has a spacious V-berth, a forward head with a vanity sink, toilet, and shower, along with plenty of storage space. The master stateroom, located aft, has one double and one single berth, as well as ample storage. The head with a vanity sink and tub and shower stall is on the right side, and a large closet is on the left.

The engine room is under the main salon and can be easily accessed through a door in the forward stateroom or a hatch in the middle of the salon. This well-lit room provides easy access to all ship systems.

The flybridge is a great place for sunny day cruising, with back-to-back seats that have storage underneath. There's a full helm station, and you can even bring along folding chairs and tables for happy hour.
