The Bayliner 4788 was and is a winning design. They feature a wonderful balance of accommodation and living spaces, a separate pilothouse, an inviting flybridge, ample storage, and a generous foredeck and cockpit.
This is another fine example of the supremely popular 4788. The pilothouse design is well suited to cruising our waters with her superior visibility, enviable layout, and superb value.
At Last, ex-Cartini, has always been a BC boat. Only two owners since new, and shed kept by her first owner. Pride of ownership, and practicality, is evident throughout.
This fine yacht is in above average condition. She has just returned from a summer cruise, and is detailed, serviced, and ready to go again.
Board the vessel to the cockpit via the transom door from the swim platform. Enter via the sliding door to the salon; a large space, nearly full-beam, encompassing the adjacent galley.
Down four steps forward of the salon to the accommodations area with three cabins, two heads, custom storage, and engine room access.
Up four steps from the salon to the pilothouse, and up again to the flybridge.
The Master Stateroom is forward with centreline (almost) queen berth, opening port lights, opening overhead hatch, direct and indirect lighting, reading lights, storage under berth, in two hanging lockers, and in several drawers and shelves.
The Private Ensuite Head has a stall shower in a small tub, Vacuflush marine toilet, exhaust fan, basin, storage, and opening portlight.
There is a separate dressing area with a huge hanging locker, settee lounge, and storage drawers. This area can also be closed off and used as a Private Cabin with upper and lower bunks.
Moving aft towards the salon, on port, is the Guest Cabin, with double berth, hanging locker, storage cabinet, drawers, direct and indirect lighting, reading lights, and opening port lights.
Opposite, across the hall is the Guest / Day Head, with stall shower, exhaust fan, Vacuflush marine toilet, basin, and storage including mirrored cabinets.
The laundry was removed and replaced with a wine locker and custom made tool drawers.
The salon is full-beam with:
The galley is to port, adjacent to the salon, and features all the appliances, working space and storage needed for the creative cook.
Up four steps from the salon and galley is the pilothouse. The seat and console are on the centreline, with instruments, controls, and switches readily at hand.
The helmsperson can be joined by guests or watch mates in the settee which wraps the aft and port side of the pilothouse.
Port and starboard doors give access to the side decks and the foredeck. And give the helm superb visibility and a feeling of control when approaching a dock on either side.
The pilothouse design works so well because it affords the helm and the guests perfect views in almost every direction, whether enjoying the sea life, taking in the ocean vistas, or watching for logs!
Access to the flybridge is via stairs up from the pilothouse.
Up steps from the pilothouse, is the flybridge with upper helm station, broad lounging area, BBQ and bar, and boat deck.
The upper helm is to port, with instruments, engine controls, and controls for the bow thruster, trim tabs, horn, windlass and spotlight.
The settee aft of the helm seat, and to starboard, can accommodate quite a crowd of guests. There is a BBQ, drinks fridge, wet bar, more storage under the settees, and access to the tender.
There is also a ladder down to the cockpit from the boat deck.
The tender is a Novurania 360 DL (11' 9") with console steering
Board from the swim platform to the cockpit via an opening door. There is storage under the entire cockpit accessed via three large hatches. The genset is under the centre hatch, and batteries and systems are under the other two. There is still room for fishing gear, spares, cleaning supplies, and other gear as needed.

AC and DC power systems service the vessel through circuit breaker panels with appropriate voltage and ampere gauges. 110VAC is provided by shorepower, by the generator, and based on available house bank battery power, through the inverter.
Power is provided by the venerable twin Cummins 370 B Diamond series diesel engines, with approximately 1,660 hours.
The engines are accessed via four removable hatches, two over each engine, in the salon floor. Main access is through the stairs leading from the galley to the accommodations.
