Whimsy is a fine example of a lightly-used, well-optioned Oceanis 41. A yacht of incomparable volume for it size she is the perfect marriage of performance and comfort. She is a two-owner boat, very clean, never chartered, and well cared for. She has less than 500 hours on the 40 hp Yanmar, and has the three cabin, one head layout. With Webasto diesel furnace and zodiac tender she is turn-key and ready  for the cruising season.

Elements of Whimsy

The Oceanis 41’s hard chine brings the beam aft which dramatically increasing the interior volume. The twin-wheel helm makes sense aboard any boat with so much beam carried so far aft. It offers the person driving a comfortable windward or leeward perch, and provides clear access to the push-button, drop-down swim platform in the transom.

The mainsail arch enables you to sail in complete safety and at the same time gives you more space in the cockpit  and offers multiple handholds and other great safety features. The elevated mainsheet bridle does more than keep the mainsheet out of the way. It also serves as the backbone for the dodger and bimini.

The mast has been moved aft to about 47 percent of the distance from the bow to stern, which adds more J dimension - or foredeck length - to the foretriangle, and allows a larger jib.

Accommodation

The forward stateroom features a double berth and ample storage with hanging lockers, cabinets and a vanity.
