The Beneteau 36.7 is a Bruce Farr Design that is competitive around any race course in handicap or one design fleets as well as a great cruising boat. The 3 cabin layout is well appointed with all the cruising comforts. This boat has the deep lead keel option, carbon spinnaker pole and Harken split-drum roller furling system. She has the newer interior design of the lighter alpi wood. First Tracks was originally commissioned in March 2008. She has been meticulously maintained and is in immaculate condition. She has seen little racing and has mostly been used for family cruising.

Leading down the companion way there are good hand holds. The L shape galley is set to port with a Force 10 2 burner stove and oven. The double sink covers for additional galley work space and top loading refrigerator located outboard. There is good storage under the sink and in cupboards above. The nav station is located on the starboard side facing forward with good access to electronics and breaker panel. The chart table is large with storage space and big enough to use with folded charts. The salon measures almost 10' with 6'2" of head room. Settees are 6'4" long and can be used as berths. The salon table easily accommodates 6 adults and can also be removed on racing days. When the table is removed the remaining stainless steel rail provides a nice brace for when under way. The fwd cabin measures 6'1" long and 5'3" wide and has a good size hanging locker with hull shelves for addition storage. The port aft cabin measures close to a queen size berth with hanging locker and hull shelving. The starboard aft cabin is a large single size berth with hanging locker and hull shelving. The head is located port side forward of the salon with 6' head room. There is a hot/cold shower and manual head.

Deck & Cockpit

All halyard and main sail controls are lead aft to the cabin top Spinlock rope clutches. The main sheet and traveller are located just forward of the steering pod allowing easy access around the cockpit and for going down below. The large steering wheel allows great sailing position on all points of sail and makes the steering very light. The boom end sheeting allows for excellent main sail trim and efficiency. There are additional shallow storage seats one port and one starboard that are easily removed for racing to open up the cockpit or in cruising mode allow seating for at least 7 adults. The stern seat is removable to allow easy transom boarding. There is a telescoping ladder, hot/cold shower and space to stow a life raft.

Conclusion

The Beneteau First 36.7 is a well built and well equipped racer/cruiser that is competitive around the race course or easily sailed short handed. She is very responsive and a great performer upwind even in light air. She has been setup and equipped to easily sail short handed including running the asymmetric spinnaker. With a top rate maintenance record, recent haul out and bottom paint she is a true turn key boat for her new owners.
