When Francois Chalain, Beneteau's chief designer and in-house conceptualist, dreamed about creating a powerful sailing machine with the kind of luxurious amenities that would place it squarely among the ranks of the elite custom boat builders he created the Beneteau 57. This boat competes with the finest boats in the world: Oyster, Moody, Contest, Farr, and truly holds her own.  Groupe Beneteau deployed all of its manufacturing expertise, from the large yacht production facility at CNB to the design office of Bruce Farr, to create this Flagship boat. The Beneteau 57 is a statement boat that combines world class performance with luxurious accommodations.  Rubicon presents a rare opportunity to own one of the finest examples of the Beneteau 57. This owners version, with 4 cabins and 4 heads, has been continuously upgraded and meticulously maintained to her true form. North 3di sails, ½” teak decking and Alexseal hull paint are just a mere few of the notable new upgrades on an extensive list. The Rubicon carries all the equipment you would expect on a yacht of this caliber to keep you safe, comfortable and independent. Whether you are looking to cross an ocean or to cruise locally, the Rubicon will take you and your guests in full luxury, style and safety. Rubicon is available to view on our sales dock at Coal Harbour Marina, Vancouver, BC

On Deck

Rubicon is boarded through the side stanchion gates or through the transom. The transom gate is easily controlled with a hydraulic system that also has a manual override. The transom lowers to provide a large step or swim platform. The hot and cold shower is accessible from the swim platform. The stairs to the deck from the transom are nicely angled for easy and safe access.

The very spacious and clear aft deck makes for a great lounging area. There are fold-down transom seats that offer a great place to sit while underway or at anchor.

Moving forward is the centre cockpit. The centre cockpit design allows great visibility when maneuvering the boat. It also provides a very safe, cozy lounging area when underway and also is the perfect place to entertain guests at anchor.

The fixed windsheild provides protection from the elements and a very clear view of the bow. All sail controls are led aft to electric winches which are all accessible from within the cockpit, making it practical to sail short-handed. The mainsheet traveller is aft, allowing efficient end-boom sheeting.

Moving forward from the cockpit is safe and easy with well placed hand holds and wide side decks. The genoa tracks are placed well inboard with adjustable leads. The windlass is controlled from the bow or from the cockpit. The large stainless stem head fitting has dual anchor rollers. There are a total of 8 stainless mooring cleats.

Below Deck

Upon entering the salon you will be struck by the volume, elegance, and natural light. The dining table has a curved settee on the port side and free-standing chairs to create a large dining and entertaining area. Starboard side lounge seating is forward of the nav station. The settee cushions deserve mention, they are made of triple density foam, intricately shaped and covered in new, high-end upholstery. The forward-facing panoramic ports flood the salon with light. The overhead hatches provide ample more light and fantastic ventilation. The nav station includes a curved wooden seat and plenty of room for all the navigation equipment. The overall sense of the saloon is of spaciousness, natural light and soft spoken luxury.

The large galley is to port and aft of the salon. This galley is something that is only found on large yachts. The space is amazing with ample storage. There is four-burner gimbaled stove complete with an overhead extractor fan. The large fridge is a dual, front-loading drawer style with a top loading freezer.

There are four private staterooms. The very impressive owners' stateroom is aft, with a walk-around queen berth, private seating area, and ample storage with hanging lockers. There is abundant ventilation and natural light in this very comfortable stateroom. The private head includes a separate, fully moulded shower.

There are two large staterooms forward with shared head and shower. The 4th guest stateroom is located on the starboard side with 2 split berths. The 3rd head with shower is perfect for day use and for the 4th stateroom.

The natural lighting and ventilation is to be noted throughout this boat.
