Elements of Twenty Questions

Part of the fifth generation of Oceanis Yachts, this three-cabin version of the Beneteau Oceanis 40 is sleek and spacious and is well optioned for comfortable cruising.

Hallmark features of this renown design are the large cockpit, powerful sail plan, and renown sea keeping qualities. A user-friendly design with all controls intuitively within reach.

Berret & Racoupeau, along with interior designer Nauta Design, are better known for penning much larger yachts with a design emphasis on creature comforts and liveable spaces, and they have successfully brought this concept to the Beneteau Oceanis 40.

Twenty Questions has had one owner since new, and is in outstanding condition inside and out. She presents much newer than her 2009 vintage. First Yacht Services has provided annual service and maintenance since new.

Enjoy a comfortable and intuitive layout, superb use of space, windows all around for sweeping vistas and natural light, adding to her suitability to cruising our waters.

Throughout Twenty Questions

Board through the opening gate from the swim platform to the cockpit, or the port and starboard gates to the side decks. The cockpit is covered and can easily be enclosed adding protection during off weather, and generally increases the living space on board.

There is ample room for lounging or dining al fresco.

Enter Twenty Questions via teak louvered doors to the companionway. These fold open and snap  in place eliminating the need to stow annoying drop boards. Five gently sloping stairs with good traction lead down to the galley, salon and interior living spaces.

This is the three-cabin / two-head layout with the master cabin forward, and two symmetrical guest cabins aft to port and starboard. The forward master cabin has an ensuite head with integrated shower, and the aft cabins share the second head with dedicated shower stall.

Midships is the salon with a U settee to starboard, a large table for dining or playing games. The galley is to port, also midships with very good storage, refrigeration and working surfaces.

Just aft, at the base of the companionway to port, is the navigation chart table with red night light, more storage, radios, AC and DC breaker distribution panel, and other systems controls and monitors.

Across to starboard is the guest head with separate shower stall.

  • Webasto hydronic central heat system with outlets in each cabin, head and salon
