A Judel Vrolijk hull design with its big powerful rig is easy to control and performs well on all points of sail. 

When designing the 470, Hanse's concept was to make a large boat that could easily sailed solo or short-handed, hence the two wheels with controls leading aft, electric winches, self tacking jib, fully batten mainsail with lazy jacks, furling jib etc. 

• The flush deck forward with the low cabin top gives the Hanse  a modern performance look and feel.

The 470 has a  contemporary and spacious 3 cabin and 2 head layout. The owners stateroom is forward and has a centre-line walk-around queen berth with a private head. The salon has a large L shaped settee to port and a settee to starboard. A proper navigation  station to port and a L shaped galley to starboard. Two identical guest staterooms with double berths are aft. A second head/shower located just outside the port aft cabin
