The salon of the 2008 Island Packet 465 stands out with its spaciousness, high-quality craftsmanship and more than 7 feet of headroom. Rich teak joinery, complemented by teak and mahogany floors throughout, gives the space a classic nautical feel, while large opening ports and overhead hatches flood the area with natural light and ventilation.
Entering via the comfortable angled companionway, you’ll find two, full-length settees along the port and starboard hull. The port settee extends to the centerline to convert into a double berth, and both are equipped with lee cloths for offshore sailing. To port is a solid teak dining table which can be extended to accommodate additional seating or folded away to create a more open living space.
The salon's impressive headroom and wide beam create a sense of openness, while the ocean-rated safety windows provide panoramic views. Adjacent to the companionway is the deluxe navigation station, featuring a high-backed swivel arm chair, an inlaid chart table with storage, conveniently-located systems panels, and a wet locker within arm's reach.
The deck and cockpit of Terratima are designed for both safety and ease of handling. Wide, unobstructed side decks are complemented by robust stainless-steel handrails and high lifelines, ensuring safe movement around the boat, even in heavy seas.
