Piccolo is a 2005 Carver 38 Super Sport and an ideal yacht for Pacific Northwest cruising. You will not find a cleaner, better maintained example anywhere.
She offers a large cockpit, a full-beam salon, two private staterooms, and a flybridge that works as well for entertaining as it does underway. This is a boat that feels bigger than her length suggests, and she uses that space well.
By not giving up main-deck square footage to a lower helm, Carver was able to devote that space to what matters more in a boat like this: living area, seating, visibility, and comfort. The result is a full-beam salon that feels open, useful, and larger than you would expect in this size range.
You get a large cockpit for boarding, fishing, or spending time at the dock, a spacious bridge with good visibility underway, and an interior that is built around actually living aboard. The salon benefits from large windows and an open layout, while the galley and raised dinette are arranged in a way that makes the space work for meals, mornings at anchor, or evenings in the marina.
Below, the boat has two private staterooms and a large head with a separate stall shower, so the accommodations are practical as well as roomy.
Piccolo has low hours on Volvo D6 engines, and has spent much of her life under cover in a boathouse. This is a boat that has been well cared for. She comes with a 2018 Brig Inflatable Centre Console RIB with Yamaha 4 Stroke 20HP on a custom mounted horizontal davit.

The layout of the 2005 Carver 38 Super Sport is one of the boat’s biggest strengths. It feels larger than you would expect from a 38 foot boat, and is genuinely comfortable to spend time on. The salon is bright and open, with large windows that bring in a lot of natural light and keep the space from feeling closed in. It connects easily to the galley and dinette, so the whole main cabin works as one social space.
Below, the boat has a practical two-stateroom layout that works well for a couple, a family, or guests aboard for a weekend. The forward master has an island berth, and the guest cabin gives you a separate sleeping space instead. The head is generously sized and well appointed, with a full height shower that makes the boat more livable than many others in this size range.
Outside, the large cockpit and flybridge add even more usable space, giving boat offers several distinct areas to sit, entertain, or spread out.
Piccolo had a full purchase survey done in 2025, and all findings have been addressed. She was hauled in March and is ready to cruise.
The salon is one of the main reasons this model works so well. Because the boat is helmed exclusively from the flybridge, Carver was able to use the main deck for living space, creating a full-beam salon that feels open and larger than most boats in this size range.
The raised dinette provides excellent views and enough room for meals, coffee, or evenings aboard. Opposite to starboard, a large leather sofa gives you a separate place to sit and relax without breaking up the space. Large windows bring in a lot of light, and the updated hardwood flooring gives the interior a clean, current look.
The galley is set on the same level as the salon so it feels connected to the main living space rather than separated from it. It works well underway, at anchor, or on the dock, with the space and storage to make the boat comfortable for extended use.
The yacht has two private staterooms and a large head with a separate shower. It is a comfortable, practical layout that works well for a couple, family, or guests.

The flybridge is set up to be both practical and social, with a clear helm, good sightlines, and seating that makes the space easy to use. It gives you a comfortable place to run the boat and a natural gathering area once you are tied up or at anchor.
