Warm teak joinery and generous beam give Ariel a welcoming interior uncommon in her class. The V-berth forward provides privacy with shelving and locker space, followed by a bright salon with opposing settees and a folding table. Aft to port lies the enclosed head and nav station, while starboard aft holds the L-shaped galley. The large aft cabin extends under the cockpit for a true double berth.
Bright, airy, and finished to German standards, the salon comfortably seats six. Good ventilation comes from opening ports and deck hatches. Electrical and tankage run neatly beneath settees; bilges are clean and dry.
The functional L-galley is secure at sea yet social at anchor. Features include a gimballed two-burner stove/oven, in-counter refrigeration, and ample locker storage. Propane system re-plumbed in 2019 with new tank (2025).
A comfortable T-shaped cockpit with high coamings and teak-slatted seating invites safety and relaxation. A 2024 dodger with new clear panels offers excellent protection. All sail controls lead aft for easy short-handed sailing.
Hand-laid solid FRP hull and balsa-cored deck with through-bolted aluminum toerail. The bulb keel and spade rudder deliver excellent upwind performance and handling.
Fractional 7/8 Selden-style rig with self-tacking jib and single-line reefing for true ease of sailing. Rig inspected 2024 (Blackline Marine). Main and headsail are in excellent condition with North Sails inspection (2025).
