Boarding is made easy through the wide transom with the dual helms. The factory optional teak cockpit deck adds an elegance to this very large cockpit with ample seating. The cockpit table has a leaf to port and starboard making this a great dining or entertaining area. The cockpit table lamp is a nice touch for evening dining . There is a very large storage locker to port as well as additional storage in the starboard lazarette.
The engine control is located at the starboard helm. There are bow thruster controls at each helm station. Sailing is made comfortable and safe with great visual from the both helm stations. The large screen chartplotter is easily viewed from either station. The primary winches are easy to manage from the helm or forward from the cockpit making it easy to single or short hand. All the running rigging is lead aft to the 2 cabin top winches. Managing the control lines is effortless with the help of the 2 speed electric winch.
Custom Iverson dodger with bimini and connecting panel offers perfect protection from the elements. There are good sized windows in the bimini for viewing mast head and main sail trim. There is also a full cockpit enclosure for those cold days.
Exiting the cockpit, there are 2 custom stainless steel hand rails in place of the standard lifelines giving a much more secure hand hold moving forward.
There are large side decks and good hand holds making it safe and easy to move around. There are stanchion gates on port and starboard. Genoa tracks with adjustable genoa cars are set inboard of the deck. The double anchor roller has an attachment point for the asymmetric spinnaker. The solid stainless steel anchor is as functional as it's good looks. Anchor has 200' of high test chain for secure anchoring. The electric windlass has a hand held control which is operated from the bow. The anchor locker is large and also houses a spare Delta anchor and fenders.
The Beneteau 43 is a fractional rigged sloop with in-mast furling. 140% furling genoa has adjustable cars for perfect sail shape at all points of sail even when reefed. The spinnaker is rigged with a Bamar Rolgen top down furling system with adjustable tack run aft . The top down furling system allows easy management of the spinnaker. All the running rigging is lead aft to the cockpit. There are two additional mast mounted Spinlock rope clutches for the main and genoa halyards for additional safety.
The saloon is very spacious, airy and comfortable. The large deck hatches and full length windows make for a very bright and well ventilated interior. There is 6'8" headroom throughout . The dinette table is large with seating for 8 adults. The dinette table lowers to convert into an additional double berth with a fill in cushion.
One of the great features of this boat is the large wrap around galley. It's practical design is also safe at sea. It has ample storage for all your provisions. There is a built in top load freezer as well as an additional front loading fridge. Force 10 3 burner stove with oven and broiler.
The aft head is really large with a separate shower stall. With very little wood in the head / shower compartment it is easy to maintain and keep dry.
The aft cabin is "king" sized with a nice seating area and good headroom. There is a hanging locker to starboard with additional storage along the starboard hull and a deep locker to midship behind the engine compartment.
The forward cabin has a spacious entrance with private head and shower. It features the same easy maintenance and dry stall as the aft head. As you enter the forward cabin there is a hanging locker to port with a separate seating area. The double berth is large and spacious with lots of light and headroom.
All overhead hatches have blinds and mosquito screens integrated. There is lots of light and ventilation throughout the boat.
The bottom has an epoxy barrier coating with Interlux micron CSC antifouling. New antifouling bottom paint was applied May 2019.
The boat has the standard deep keel with spade rudder.
Boat is equipped with a 3 blade MaxProp. This high performance feathering prop gives the same full thrust in reverse as it does in forward. Under sail it provides very little drag for additional sailing performance.
MaxPower bow thruster makes docking and maneuvering safe and easy.
