One of the amazing thing about Bavaria Yachts is that they are able to perfectly balance the business side of yacht building, being a cost-conscientious high-volume builder, with the production of beautiful, well-constructed yachts. They are known for ease of maintenance, unencumbered access to all systems. And they deliver spirited, family-friendly performance.
Willow is a great yacht for a cruising family. She is easy to manage for confident couple’s cruising with plenty of room for kids or other cruising guests. She would also appeal to the charter market.
There is ample entertaining space, abundant storage, tremendous natural light, and plenty of opening port lights and hatches.
First time to market, Willow has been professionally cared for since new, providing consistency in care for the vessel and all systems. The owners are avid sailers and are single-mindedly fastidious in maintenance, and care. This lovely sailing yacht shows much younger than a 2008 and is worth a close look.
This is a three cabin, two head layout. The entire yacht is bright and open, finished in varnished mahogany with plenty of natural light and ventilation through numerous windows, opening ports and hatches.
The owners cabin is forward with a large comfortable berth, and an en-suite head and shower. Storage cabinets and shelves line both sides of the cabin. More storage below the berth, and in the hanging locker.
Aft, to port and to starboard, are two well sized guest cabins; mirrors to each other. Each cabin features a large double berth, an opening port light, and a good amount of storage with hanging lockers, cupboards, drawers and shelves. The guest head is to port, with a basin with storage, a manual marine toilet, and shower stall with a teak seat
Descend to the main salon from the cockpit down five broad stairs. Dining is easy for up to six at the table to starboard, surrounded by a U-shaped settee and an upholstered bench. There is storage under all the seating, and helpful hand rails and grab holds are located where needed.
Natural light floods the space via two overhead skylights, the companionway, deck hatch and opening port lights.
The galley is to port with lots of storage, task lighting and two port lights; one opening for ventilation, one fixed.
The forward facing nav station is to starboard at the base of the companionway. There are six storage lockers, shelves, and storage under the nav seat.
Here also is the AC / DC electrical panel, battery switches, battery monitor, Espar controller, VHF radio, and a second plotter.
With the upgraded sail package, Willow is set up with the best of both worlds: spirited sailing performance combined with remarkable convenience. The "premium" means a better quality cloth with a higher roach for more sail area and better sail shape, compared to standard furling mains. In light winds, you will sail more and motor less with this set up.
