A sleek and stylish two-stateroom yacht with sweeping lines that give way to a wide open salon, dining area and galley. The extended bridge deck covers the cockpit and makes room on the flybridge for gathering a small crowd.
There is plenty of living space and storage space for a cruising couple, with room to entertain either at the dock, or on a voyage up to Desolation Sound and beyond.
A full winter cover will keep her protected from the elements in the off season months, helping preserve your investment.
Board BCnU through the transom door from the swim platform to the cockpit. There are steps up port and starboard to the side decks.
Enter the salon from the cockpit. The salon is welcoming, with ample seating. There is a separate dining area forward and to starboard, with the galley opposite to port. Then the head and shower, the master cabin forward, and the VIP cabin midships to starboard.
From the cockpit, up gently sloped stairs to the flybridge with helm controls, and seating for a small crowd!
Accommodations are in two private cabins with the master forward and the VIP to starboard. Both have island queen berths, impressive headroom, terrific storage, overhead and indirect lighting, adjustable reading lights, and plenty of natural light.
Master cabin forward with island queen berth, two cedar lined hanging lockers, drawers under the bed, and fresh air through opening portlights, and an overhead hatch with blackout blind and bug screen.
The VIP cabin is midship to starboard with a queen size berth, and an opening portlight for natural light and fresh air. This cabin is also big on storage with three lockers including a cedar lined hanging locker.
There is one head and shower shared by both cabins. The master cabin has the unexpected and welcome feature of private direct access to the head and shower.
The head is to port, with a nice curved counter top, stainless basin with storage locker below, and an opening portlight for natural light and ventilation. Vacuflush fresh water marine toilet. The shower is to starboard, also with a stainless basin, a small counter top, and an opening portlight for ventilation. For day guest access, the head has direct access just forward of the galley, so there is no need for day guests to enter the accommodations.
True to Meridian's form, the salon is a wonderful use of space with great seating and storage, and with room for comforts. To starboard is a built-in settee with buttery soft Ultra-leather upholstery. This settee converts to a sofa bed for that rare occasion when you need to sleep an extra person or two. The sliding glass door lets in plenty of natural light, and has a curtain for when privacy is needed. There is also a retractible bug screen.
Salon windows are all around affording outstanding views and natural light, and also have blinds for privacy. Some of these windows open to increase airflow.
Salon headroom is 6' 5".
There are several small but functional counter tops that are quite nice for a variety of uses.
The two comfy occasional chairs to port have storage underneath.
Two steps up from the main salon is another seating area providing even more dining area, or lounging, or perhaps the best seat in the house for movie night. The table swivels making it easy to get in or out.
Windows along the port and starboard are positioned for great natural light, but also, whether standing or seated in any space, guests can easily take in the views.
The entertainment centre is aft and to port.
If a boat's galley is not well laid out, it may not matter how perfect the rest of the boat is. The 391's galley delivers with an easy flow, a place for everything, a central location yet not obtrusive, and affords an open view of the entire salon and open cockpit.
The helm station is very nicely organized with a full array of all that is needed to operate the boat. The panel lifts up for access to systems.
The flybridge is fully enclosed with newer canvas and is a wonderful space to lounge, entertain, while underway or at the dock.
Access is via a gently sloped stairway (which opens up to reveal the engine room). There is a large settee aft and to port, a forward facing double bench to port of the helm, and of course the helm to starboard with full controls.
On both port and starboard, there are steps up from the cockpit to the side decks, and foredeck. The foredeck has two padded sun beds, a deck locker, remote spotlight, and windlass controls.
The cockpit has a removable protective carpet, a huge lazarette with genset and battery access, we well as more storage.
The tender is on a manual SeaWise storage and deployment / retrieval system. For those unfamiliar, this is the perfect way to carry a tender on a vessel like this. And since it remains attached to the boat when lowered, it is safe to board and load gear.
AC and DC power services the vessel through circuit breaker panels with appropriate voltage and ampere gauges. 110VAC is provided by 30 Amp shore connection, by the genset, or, based on available house bank battery power, through the inverter.
At sea, the batteries are charged by engine or generator driven alternators and while at a dock, by the inverter / charger via shorepower.
