ZULU Zulu was designed by Paul Gartside and built by Jespersen Boat builders in Sidney, British Columbia. She looks absolutely stunning with her beautiful lines and modern graphics. The hull is cold moulded using red cedar which was tapered in thickness from keel to sheer. Zulu is a fast racer as well as a comfortable cruiser with it's most beautiful fully fitted interior in high gloss cherry wood. The carbon rig and adjustable carbon bowsprit together with a comprehensive North Sails inventory consisting of 11 high performance sails puts her on the podium in Pacific Northwest races. An entrant of the 2008 Vic-Maui Race, Zulu then carried on to New Zealand and back to Canada. Please take time to view the full specifications and photos to appreciate one of the finest bespoke works of hand crafted art, built in the Northwest. A must see!

Interior Layout & Accommodations

The "Yacht Finish" interior is crafted in cherry wood. The soles are teak and holly. The headliner is white shiplap with varnished beams.

Forward is the chain locker with a thoughtful vertical Lewmar hatch allowing one to view the chain stacking.

Aft is the voluminous sail and line locker with its large Lewmar overhead deck hatch and access from the forward main cabin.

Next aft is the main cabin with a double bed to starboard and a bench settee to port. Also to port is a hanging locker with drawers under.

SalonStarboard side is a "U" shaped settee with seating for 5 and a beautiful inlayed dining table. A Dickinson Newport propane cabin heater is located on the forward bulkhead. Port is a settee which also serves as a seat for the large chart table.

The navigation station has a pull-out chart drawer, electronics and the DC breaker panel.

Galley is to starboard. Corian counter-tops. Deep stainless steel sink with hot/cold mixer. 3 burner Force 10 propane stove and oven. Large deep refrigerator with a NovaKool plate and compressor. More than ample storage for a boat of this size.

Opposite the galley is the head with a separate shower stall. The vanity has a cheery wood counter and trim. Dometic head, tank watch and macerator.

Aft of the galley is a workshop/machinery/electrical area with access to the engine and the quadrant/steering.

Portside between the head and the companionway, a door leads into the ¾ pilot berth cabin with a hanging locker and additional storage.
