Mianopa is a well-proportioned yacht that makes full use of her interior living spaces, and then some, without sacrificing all-important storage. The feeling throughout is simple, functional elegance, with wide inviting areas. Her design inspires comparisons to quality yachts that are ten feet longer.
Mianopa is an ideal yacht for the cruising couple who want the ability to cruise in comfort for extended periods, and still afford plenty of room for family, friends, or business guests. Her moderate displacement provides big boat performance and comfort, and her sensible design, and generous tankage makes it possible for a couple to further extend their summer voyages.
The flow of Mianopa's layout is simple yet pleasingly stylish. The salon, galley and dining areas are all designed on one level, saving one step, boosting Mianopa’s already bright open feeling.
Board the large swim platform to the opening transom door to the lower cockpit; an ideal space for fishing or sunning. Then up five teak steps to the protected California deck with ample room to lounge al fresco.
Sliding glass doors open to the expansive salon with large bright windows, storage lockers along both sides, smartly positioned hanging locker, entertainment cabinet and plush seating.
The full-sized galley is next, separate, but nicely integrated with the salon, with all the amenities, working space and storage needed for the chef to create.
Up one step to the forward dining area, reminiscent of the “country kitchen” designs found in much larger vessels. There is a wet bar here and a pass through to and from the galley.
Also here are port and starboard doors to the side decks.
From the starboard side of the dining area, descend forward down broad steps to the accommodations area to the refreshingly wide and accommodating foyer. The VIP cabin with private head is forward, there are two private guest cabins to port and to starboard of the accommodations hallway, and the full-beam master stateroom is aft.
Back on the main deck, also from the starboard side of the dining area, ascend up to the skylounge with all helm controls, a large relaxed sitting area, and glass doors aft to the boat deck.
Whether guests are sitting or standing, all areas of the main and skylounge decks afford outstanding views.
Headroom throughout Mianopa’s main and skylounge decks ranges from 6' 4" to 6' 8".
Forward on the main deck, and to starboard, descend to the living quarters down refreshingly wide steps to the accommodations foyer.
Mianopa’s staterooms are arranged with the full beam master mid-ship, the VIP stateroom forward and the guest staterooms are located to port and starboard in the companionway.
The master and VIP staterooms each have ensuites and the third guest / day head is centrally located between the VIP and port guest stateroom. Each stateroom is quite large with ample storage.
The companionway between the staterooms is surprisingly wide and offers excellent mobility and comfort for owners and guests.
The salon, galley and dining areas are configured on one level with just one step up to the dining area, according the living space a very open and bright atmosphere.
The salon is beamy - almost 13 feet across. It is an elegant, wide and open space with luxurious sofas to port and starboard, a very comfortable occasional chair to starboard, and two coffee tables and a ottoman.
There is a hanging locker conveniently located immediately to starboard and there are storage lockers all along both sides of the salon with the entertainment cabinet aft and to port. There are pull-down shades for all windows.
The galley is U-shaped to port with the sinks outboard, and with abundant workspace to prepare the chef’s creations. The galley is open to the salon with raised bar to assist visual separation. There is a pass-through aft to the salon, and another pass-through to the dining area and wet bar forward.
Access to Maniopa’s expansive skylounge is via a curved staircase from the main deck. The enclosed skylounge adds tremendous value and provides owners and guests with another area superb for entertaining or quiet relaxing. During a passage, this is the heart of the vessel, where guests join the operator.
Mianopa's helm is an open and practical space with modern electronics and plenty of room to safely navigate and socialize while under way. To port there are several storage drawers and lockers and a chart desk.
Mianopa’s boat deck is accessed from the skylounge, or via a staircase from the California deck. Here is ample room for the tender, and other cruising toys such as kayaks and bikes, should you wish to add them.
The swim platform features a large lazarette, robust removable staples. The swim platform is approximately 4 feet by 15 feet.
The cockpit features a wet bar with stainless steel sink, gas BBQ, and plenty of storage in numerous lockers and a full beam lazarette.
From the cockpit, there are five teak steps up to the California deck where one can access the side decks. The California deck is protected with a hard cover, and has built-in courtesy lighting. The length varies from 5' 2" to 6' 3", and it is 16.5 feet wide.
Recently updated, well-laid out, user-friendly:
AC and DC power services Mianopa through circuit breaker panels with appropriate voltage and ampere gauges. 110VAC is provided by 50 Amp shore connection, by either of two gensets, or, based on available house bank battery power, through the inverter.
At sea, the batteries are charged by engine or generator driven alternators and while at a dock, by the inverter / charger via shorepower.
The machinery space is another area where Wendon engineering is on display. It is a practical space with robust equipment and lots of room for Maniopa’s systems and for more cruising gear. It is clean and well-organized making maintenance less a chore.
