Sails and Rigging

Today's Beneteau performance sailing yachts wth wider, wedge-shaped aft sections have the mast slightly further forward, providing a well balanced sail plan. The sheeting angles are increased 3 to 4 degrees giving greater VMGs. The mainsail is a more constant foil shape and there is no need to twist the mainsail as in earlier designs. The arch provides a very short sheeting angle, and combined, there is no need of a mainsheet traveller.
