Condor is a true Pacific Northwest classic. Designed by Bill Garden and built on Vancouver Island, Truant 37’s are the perfect vessel for year round cruising and are extremely rare to come to market. Known for being seaworthy and capable of handling all types of conditions, Condor’s roomy interior is flooded by natural light yet remains cozy with her exceptional detail to the woodwork throughout. Professionally maintained over the last decade, her current owners have made many upgrades while retaining her classic heritage. All upgrades and maintenance work have been carefully recorded in a complete maintenance and repair log.

Accommodations

Truant interiors were designed and laid out in many different configurations. Condor’s is one of the best, making the most of the space available. The owner’s cabin is forward, featuring:

  • Comfortable double V-Berth
  • Large hanging locker to starboard plus additional drawers for storage under berth
  • Overhead opening hatch for natural light and ventilation
  • Opening window with screen for cross ventilation

 

The large washroom is located portside aft, featuring:

Galley

GALLEY:

Flooded by natural light, the Galley in entered easily down a 2-step companionway from the cockpit and features:

  • Traditional teak floor
  • Deckhead professionally planked in yellow cedar
  • Comfortable table and seating located portside, which easily converts into a double berth
  • Spacious L-shaped galley with ample storage
  • Laminated countertop
  • Rectangular stainless steel sink
  • Opening hatch for additional light and ventilation
  • Hillerange 3-burner propane stove with oven
  • Norcold 12/120V refrigerator with freezer compartment
  • Paloma On-Demand hot water (propane)
Pilothouse

Located starboard, forward of the Galley, the Interior Helm Station has an outstanding 360 degree view for easy maneuvering inside the Pilothouse. Two AFI electric wipers ensure clear visibility and the Tachometer, Engine Temperature, Volt Meter, Oil Pressure and Fuel indicators have been thoughtfully laid out.  The steering is controlled by Wagner hydraulic pumps located  at each helm, with a hydraulic ram mounted on the 1 ¼” rudder stock.

While the main fresh water tank is integrated into the keel, a second fresh water tank is fitted below the pilothouse helm for a total capacity of 70 gallons. Across is a chart table with numerous large drawers beneath for ample storage. Excellent engine, battery and bilge access is gained via removable floor hatches.

Main Salon

Step down into the warm and cozy main salon featuring:

  • Ample seating around a drop leaf table, with port and starboard settees that easily convert into single bunks.
  • Brand new upholstery cushions.
  • Four opening windows with screens that provide additional natural light and ventilation
  • Artic Dickinson diesel heater
  • Brass Clock and Barometer mounted on bulkhead
  • Beautiful teak woodwork with ample storage along port and starboard sides
Cockpit Layout

The cockpit is comfortable and has ample seating provided in a classic    u-shaped design, featuring:

  • Large cockpit locker on the port side, which houses the Paloma  On-Demand hot water system and has plenty of space for storage.
  • Large propane locker located aft, designed to hold two 10lb tanks.
  • Outside helm station, equipped with a compass mounted on a pedestal, stainless wheel and clear visibility of both the knot meter and depth sounder mounted on the bulkhead
  • Stainless drop down swim ladder
  • Custom stainless dinghy davit system for easy launching of the 9’ Polaris tender.
