Elements of this Beneteau Oceanis 38.1

The Oceanis 38.1 has a chined hull, with a full beam carried well aft for expanded living space, a massive cockpit, and exceptionally stiff and stable performance sailing yacht.

This Beneteau Oceanis 38.1 is the three-cabin, one head configuration with the galley to port. This layout has a marvellously spacious interior even with three private cabins, and is perfect for families or for charter use.

She is incredibly bright below with the contemporary Light Oak interior finish, opening double doors to the forward cabin, and an impressive amount of natural light through numerous windows, port lights and hatches.?
This is the deep keel version for good windward performance. The in-mast furling mainsail makes sail management a breeze!


Forward Cabin

The owner’s cabin of forward of the salon, behind double doors that can be opened to enhance the wonderful sense of space, or closed for privacy. With the doors open, the view forward from the salon is impressive. There is a good size double berth with a proper mattress, and with storage in one hanging locker to starboard, a cupboard of shelves to port, outboard shelves and a drawer underneath the berth. Hull windows and an opening overhead hatch bring in natural light and fresh air. There are curtains, screens and shades.

Aft Cabins

Salon and Chart Table

The salon is the full width of the boat with bench settees both port and starboard, with storage under, and a double drop leaf table between, with a convenient bottle locker! There is more natural light pouring in from hull windows, overhead windows and a hatch.

Headroom in this area ranges from 6’ 5” to 6’ 1”

The chart table is to starboard, facing aft, and folds up out of the way when not needed, giving more space to the salon settee. The galley in this configuration is L-shaped, located to port, at the base of the companionway steps. The galley is near the widest part of the hull, providing a large amount of storage space, working surfaces, and excellent space in which to create!

Engines and Mechanical

Auxiliary power is provided by one of Yammer’s newest engines. This in-line naturally-aspirated 3 cylinder engine meets stringent US EPA Tier III standards, and hence is among the quietest, smoothest, cleanest, and most efficient engines in her class. Yanmar engines are known to provide some of the best power to weight ratios in small diesel engines, translating to lower drag, and better sailing performance.
