BENETEAU at its best

Designers Roberto Biscontini and Lorenzo Argento have created a world of refinement in both the elegant 60-footer ocean-cruising yacht and the exciting new First 44.

With a hull length of almost 18 metres the Oceanis Yacht 60 has an elegant and sophisticated silhouette while preserving its elegant design and excellent marine qualities.  The new cockpit layout provides a sense of ease and security by allowing access to the foredeck is at the same level via deep side decks.  The two helm stations have been optimised so that all manoeuvres can be carried out without leaving the helm. On-board systems such as Ship Control and Seanapps provide control of all on-board systems and allow for easy maintenance.

The bimini on the Oceanis Yacht 60 is available in 2 configurations. The rigid version has a central section which slides forward to adjust the amount of cover in the cockpit. The crew will therefore always find the best compromise between protection and ventilation.  The generous dinghy garage holds a 2.8 m jet-propelled tender. This tender is operated by an electric winch with a double wire system and guiding rollers to make it effortless to launch and raise.

The new First 44, a lovely sailing yacht with a remarkable design, is the natural link between the First 36 & First 53. It combines performance, elegance and comfort thanks to the quality of its equipment, which offers unequalled sailing pleasure.  With the new First 44, BENETEAU draws to the noblest expression of the term “racer/cruiser”: an elegant and comfortable yacht that provides unequalled pleasure under sail. The generous sail plan allows the First 44 to be lively and efficient in all conditions.

The First 44 is presented in two main setups, First 44 and First 44 Performance, with a different deck plan and options for keels and masts.  In the First 44 version, the cockpit is very convivial with a lovely cockpit table as well as its fluidity with a level access to the large clear gangways. Four winches, a fixed centerline block for the mainsheet and a mast that is set further aft all maximize the potential of her modern sailplan, defined by a slender mainsail and generously sized foresails.
