Introduced in 2001, the Beneteau First 36.7 is a well built and well equipped dual purpose racer/cruiser that is nicely set up for cruising, and is competitive around the race course. She is very responsive and a great performer upwind, even in light air. With a top rate maintenance record, recent haul out and bottom paint she is a true turn key boat for her new owners.
Board through gates in the lifelines to port or starboard, or comfortable transom boarding aft. The cockpit is spacious for your racing crew or you family and friends while cruising or at a peaceful anchorage.
Enter the companionway to the interior with 6' 2" headroom. The well appointed galley is to port, the dedicated nav station to starboard, two aft cabins port and starboard, the comfortable salon next forward, head forward to port, and finally the forward cabin.
Central heat is provided by the recent addition of a Wallas forced air diesel heat system. Natural light and ventilation though opening port lights and deck hatches. She has been nicely updated, not the least of which is updated LED interior lighting throughout.
The 36.7 has a three cabin layout:
The head is located forward and to port of the salon with easy access for crew and day visitors.
The galley is L-shaped and is located to port at the foot of the companionway steps
The nav station is forward facing and is to starboard of the companionway with good access to electronics and the breaker panel.
All halyard and mainsail controls are lead aft to the cabin top Spinlock rope clutches. The main sheet and traveller are located just forward of the steering pod allowing easy access around the cockpit and for going down below. The large steering wheel allows great sailing position on all points of sail and makes the steering very light. The boom end sheeting allows for excellent main sail trim and efficiency.
Hand-laid solid GRP hull bonded to a structural grid of directional fiberglass for a strong, stiff, light composite. Vinylester hull barrier coat to resist osmotic blistering and zone-specific stitchmat laminates for specific increased strength where needed.
The deck is a cored GRP sandwich for stiffness, thermal and acoustic insulation and lighter weight. There are solid fiberglass reinforcements in high load areas and integral unidirectional GRP deck beams for added strength. All main bulkheads are bonded 360° to the hull and deck for rigid torsional and compressive strength.
AC and DC power systems service the vessel through the circuit breaker panel. 110VAC is provided by 30 Amp shore connection, or, based on available house bank battery power, through the inverter
