Ten Plus welcomes you aboard from the dock with her extra large 4.5' deep X 12' wide swim platform. Three substantial stainless steel staples provide a handhold and solid sense of security as you make you way to the large, hinged boarding gate. Entering the cockpit you will appreciate the security of the high bulwarks. There is a sliding door that accesses the master cabin, but you will normally climb the short stainless steel ladder to the sun deck.
The fully-enclosed sun deck provides a three season dining room with a full-size glass table and four upholstered chairs. There is a built in refreshment centre which features a sink, and serving area with a bar fridge built in underneath. A cabinet door opens up above the refreshment centre to expose the built-in glass storage. On either side of this carpeted living area, there are solid 1" thick lexan wing doors providing access to the side decks.
Walking forward through the wing doors on either side you will find yourself on the generous side decks of Ten Plus with sturdy stainless rails surrounding the entire deck. Moving forward to the foredeck area, you are reassured by the full-length rails along the cabin sides. The foredeck features a Maxwell 2200 vertical windlass with foot switches for the substantial ground tackle.
From the sun deck there is a stainless ladder with five steps leading up to the massive flybridge area. Also fully enclosed, the flybridge offers a comfortable 3 season room for entertaining and also the preferred bridge from which to operate this vessel. A well-appointed helm with dual helm chairs provides a commanding view with such features as a centre windshield wiper and defrosters for the front windows. At the aft end of the flybridge, the enclosure can be opened to provide easy access to the boat deck and the dinghy stowed there.
Back on the sun deck, there is a full size hinged door providing access to the interior of the boat. There are three easy steps down into the salon. This living room is warmly finished with recent wall to wall carpeting and a tasteful area rug. The salon is finished with fully upholstered walls and ceiling panels. Venetian blinds along both sides allow you complete control over the abundance of natural light. A large, L-shaped ultraleather sofa, 2 leather occasional chairs and a rectangular cocktail / coffee table make this a great place for entertaining or just relaxing with the entertainment centre and the 40" flatscreen TV. At the forward end of the salon, there is a generously-sized granite breakfast / dining bar overlooking the galley below and the panoramic view forward. Two stainless steel, upholstered stools complete this area. To starboard is the lower helm area. Though well-equipped for vessel operation, the instruments and switches are hidden from view, when not in use under an oak cover plate. Navigation instruments are cleverly installed overhead so as not to interrupt the comfortable ambiance and decor of the salon.
Moving forward, three easy steps down, you will enter the U-shaped galley, featuring wrap around granite countertop with granite backsplash. Bathed in natural light from above, the galley is a chef's delight with twin porcelain sinks, new stainless steel fridge and separate freezer, recent propane cooktop, convection microwave oven and trash compacter. Generous storage includes a large pantry and an in-floor commissary.
No tour of Ten Plus would be complete without a trip to the engine room. While standing in the galley, the staircase (to the salon) lifts up on gas shocks to provide engine room access. The well-lit engine room offers stand-up headroom throughout with excellent access to all mechanical systems. The cleanliness of this space is a testament to the consistent, professional maintenance that Ten Plus has enjoyed. Compared to so many boats with cramped mechanical spaces, this room is a true mechanic's delight.
Adjacent to the galley, to starboard, is a sliding pocket door to access the third stateroom. Fitted with upper and lower bunks, this compact stateroom boasts a hanging locker and adequate clothes storage.
Moving forward from the galley the guest head is accessed to port. Tastefully finished with granite countertop and designer sink and faucets, this area features a separate shower stall and Vac-u-flush toilet.
In the bow, the VIP cabin beckons your guests with a full width double V-berth, hanging locker and additional clothes storage. Notably, there is a private entrance from this cabin to guest head. This stateroom features accent lighting, overhead hatch and a 17" flatscreen TV. Your guests may not want to leave.
Back in the salon, a broad companionway leads aft to the master stateroom. The companionway houses the stacked laundry pair to port and a generous storage closet to starboard. Entering the full beam master, you will find a centreline mounted queen size bed with plenty of space to make this a comfortable retreat. Behind double mirrored doors to port there is a massive hanging locker. Aft of this, you will find a series of storage cabinets. In the port aft corner there are stairs up to a sliding door to the cockpit. On the starboard side this stateroom features a large vanity with mirror and storage cabinets, ahead of which is another hanging locker. The forward bulkhead features a built-in entertainment centre with a 23" flatscreen TV and DVD player. Beneath this is a generous linen closet.
Forward on the starboard side is the entrance to the master head which features a full-length marble countertop, under-counter sink and mirrored backsplash with built-in storage. The separate shower compartment includes a bath tub. The space is impressive; the finish is elegant.
The overall impression of the interior is that of comfort and light, but it is the cleanliness and condition throughout that will truly impress.
