The Fathom was designed by naval architect Greg Marshall and built in Washington State. The Fathom design brief was for a fast single engine pilothouse that could fit into a 40' slip.The Expedition model is the top of the Fathom line, using the best quality finishes, fittings and attention to detail throughout.

Fathom,using the modern CAD system, infused Vinylester and composite materials built a fuel efficient vessel with a propeller tunnel and a fast hull.

The wide beam provides stability and enormous interior space 


The stern has a fold down transom allowing ease of boarding and extended deck space. The covered aft deck allows dry access to the luxurious salon with cream upholstery and high-gloss woodwork. The well appointed galley is forward with open access to the raised pilothouse where all can enjoy the 180 degree view.

A companionway from the galley leads to the two spacious staterooms and head compartment with a full stand-up shower cubicle.


The spacious salon is bright and modern. The sole is a composite "teak & holly", the headliner is ultrasuede and the dinette upholstery is a cream ultraleather. The dinette area has been raised allowing superb views through the extra large Diamond Sea-Glaze salon windows. The high gloss dinette table drops down to form a double bed. Opposite the dinette are two Danish armchairs. Overhead is a teak & stainless steel handrail.

Guest Cabin / Office

The starboard double bed guest cabin also converts to a very practicable office with a large desk, AC outlets and filing space.It also has a large stainless steel opening porthole giving lots of natural light.

There are two large lockers, one with a combo washer/dryer.


The head compartment situated on the port side has 2 doors and is quite large for a 40 ft vessel. It has a extra large opening porthole with a roller blind. The granite top vanity has a stainless steel sink, cupboards below and a glass door medicine cabinet.

The head is a fresh water electric Tecma plus a Sealand TankWatch monitor.

The large glass door shower cubicle has a bench seat.


The pilothouse has been designed to give flybridge-like views. To port is a dinette and the high-gloss chart table and to starboard a sliding door giving access to the fore and side deck.
