Summer Isle is a boat house kept Grand Banks 36 Europa. This sought after model has the popular two stateroom layout and has been fastidiously maintained and upgraded by her owners. This vessel is perfectly fitted and optioned for cruising our Pacific Northwest waters and has been extensively cruised to points including the central and north coasts of British Columbia and south to the Baja Peninsula. Summer Isle came from the factory with owner requested custom options and has been continually upgraded. This is a very special Grand Banks and should be seen. She is in stellar condition, as befits a top quality yacht held by committed and knowledgeable owners.

Elements of Summer Isle

The Grand Banks 36 Europa, is an exceptionally well thought-out and liveable design. She features large clear windows all around, providing 360 degree visibility of the anchorage or seaway which creates the distinct feeling of being a part of the outdoors. The flow of space on one level from the galley to salon to cockpit is liveable, open and bright. Upgraded and optional fabric selections and soft furnishing throughout add elegance and charm. The subtle protection from sun and the profound protection from rain provided by the covered side decks and cockpit is so comforting and rare in a vessel of this size. 

Salon

Entering through the sliding door from the large aft cockpit, portside the salon has a L-shaped settee and Grand Banks teak yacht table with storage and drop leaves. Forward is the U-shaped galley. Starboard side built in entertainment cabinet, settee, and traditional teak bar cabinet. Forward is the helm station and optional built in seat.

Galley

The U-shaped galley is fully equipped and very well designed. There is abundant storage and counter space, everything is within easy reach. There is an opening window and overhead fan for ventilation. Note the proximity to the helm for preparations while underway , and the ideal arrangement whereby the chef is open to, yet separated from the salon. This galley is functional and practical, designed to cook, entertain and live in.

Accommodations

The companionway leads down to the optional two stateroom layout. Port is the guest stateroom with privacy doors and two berths, hanging locker and storage. Starboard is the head with separate shower. Forward is the Master stateroom with double V-berth with ample storage including hanging locker drawers and shelves.

Hull and Deck

The side decks on the Europa 36’s are designed for easy boarding and for safe movement all around the boat. The decks are wide and teak clad with high railings, ideal for setting fenders, containing children or pets, rafting up, fishing, and living close to the water and dock! The teak rails are maintained to the highest standard with easy to care for stainless stanchions and grab rails. The teak decking is in fine condition.

Electrical System

Summer Isle comes with a substantial house bank and separate start batteries for both main engines. The vessel can be charged via shore power or two high output 100amp alternators while underway. 110 VAC and 12 VDC electrical panels with full circuit breaker protection and shore power is available via 30 amp connections at bow and stern. 12V DC power is supplied via a house bank of batteries. The battery condition is readily monitored by the battery monitor panel.
